The Manchester United and Manchester City players will not be able to sign a new deal until the end of the month, according to reports in Spain.

According to Mundo Deportivo, which is owned by Spanish media company Cadena Ser, the club have decided to end their negotiations with the players after negotiations with former club Sevilla failed.

The move is believed to have been made after both parties failed to reach a compromise.

The news was first reported by Sport Italia, who also report that the players will be free to leave the club until the beginning of the new transfer window.
